Now that it is winter, the weather has turned cold and many people have caught the common cold. Here, I will introduce several methods to prevent getting the common cold:
1. After waking up in the morning, wash your face with cold water; wash your feet with hot water at night.
2. Every morning, gargle with water containing a small amount of salt. At night before bed, gargle mouthwash to kill the bacteria in the mouth.
3. During the early morning, go for a walk, play Taijiquan or participate in other forms of exercise, like hiking.
4. Rub the palms of your hands 30 times, and then massage the Ying-xiang point, 10 times.
5. As soon as you awake in the morning and before going to sleep in the evening, open the doors and windows for ventilation.
6. Drink green tea every night before going to bed. Use 30 grams of sugar, 5 grams of fresh ginger, brew with water and tea. Avoid drinking this if you suffer from Insomnia.
7. While standing, keep both hands at shoulder width, arms straight out, do deep breathing for 10 times to increase lung capacity.
8. Every morning and evening, use vinegar to fumigate the room. Do this each time for at least 15 minutes.
9. Do not wear too many clothes, if sweating occurs, take a layer of clothing off to help ensure you maintain proper body temperature.
